About Wanda MarieWanda Marie was one of Yolanda King's Personal Advisors, and Executive Director of the company. She wore many hats, and one of them was negotiating all of Yolanda King's speaking contracts. She loves working with speakers, especially new speakers, coaching them on creating, negotiating and finalizing their speaking contracts while establishing their personal boundaries and self-worth as a speaker. Prior to coming to Higher Ground, she had a full time practice as a Professional Life Coach and Yolanda was one of her clients. While directing the Higher Ground mission, she continued her private practice but only part time. She will now be venturing back into a full time coaching practice. As of August 1st, she will open her practice to not more than 10-12 clients. She will also continue to facilitate the Inner Peace Circles of which Yolanda was a spokesperson. Wanda Marie is the author of Living Inner Peace: Finding Happiness in an Imperfect World, and co-author with Yolanda King on Embracing Your Power in 30 Days: A Journey of Self-Discovery and Personal Freedom. Wanda maintains a private practice as a Teacher and Life Coach, and continues to serve as a spiritual leader within her community. She is a member of the Association for Global New Thought (AGNT), and sits on the Board of the Women's Center of Los Angeles. She has been deeply connected to the spiritual essence of life since early childhood. This caused her to study various western religious teachings and eastern philosophies, cultivating her own spiritual foundation. With a passion for wanting to help people heal, in 1990 Wanda shifted her focus in life and received certifications in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Clinical Hypnotherapy, and later became a Reiki Master. In 1992, to add a more grounded approach to her healing practices, Wanda enrolled in a two-year program at Coach University and studied under its founder, Grand Master Coach, Thomas Leonard. That training was followed by a four year program studying the teachings of Ernest Holmes through the Church of Religious Science, resulting in her licensing as a Spiritual Counselor (Practitioner) through the Agape International Spiritual Center. Since launching her private practice as a Spiritual Teacher and Life Coach, Wanda Marie has been instrumental in helping people not only heal their lives, but find creative ways of moving their lives forward and creating a world that works for everyone. When Yolanda King, eldest daughter of Coretta Scott King and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., became one of Wanda's clients, a collaborative relationship developed that helped them realize their shared mission, to bring about more peace and healing to all of humanity. Wanda's leadership has resulted in the development of the "Living Inner Peace" training programs, and the "Inner Peace Circles" network, designed to establish training programs around the world where people teach each other how to lead happier, healthier, more peaceful lives.
